    Quick Update on BK2 progress.

    15 mile to the hex Mapping is more or less completed except one area which I need to do (but its not that hard or big….). Box art is needing the back revised. Front will get a minor refresh.

    75 mile Art is NOT STARTED. This will need a bit of messing with but is not a big task.

    OB research EXCEPT THE ITALIANS is complete. See BF2 for Italian research issues… though to be fair the BK stuff is now more or less updated. MN2 is a whole other story. We will re-rate 100% of the Italian navy prior to release and much of the RN (well more or less all of it).

    Rules are complete

    Charts need refreshed and redone

    So lots has now been done…. more to be done as you can imagine.

    I can provide PDF files for the maps – please email me at my normal address. Unfortunately I have absolutely nothing left of the original game in stock (I believe my own copy is now an ex demo that is punched and not 100% complete).

    We cannot due to the way the printers work in this instance do an upgrade kit – and given the entirely new German and Italian OBs I am not sure it would be worth trying in any case (the only stuff remaining more or less static are the Greeks and Commonwealth forces – and even with them there will be additions or minor tweaks based on better details now available.

    The increase in size (8 not 4 CS, amended and updated mapping, timeline extension from Oct 40 through the end of June 43) is not minor. We are also adding a bunch of learning Scenarios and additional Modules covering a variety of operations on (or close to) the main map area. I believe this provides value for clients who wish to upgrade their games to the current standard.

    Thanks for the kind words… I was Covid case 3 in Tayside, thanks to the morons in the NHS. No harm no foul as I was affected by a minor chest issue at the time as well as the after effects of a minor operation thus was pumped full of anti-biotics which killed off any side bugs that would have caused an issue.

    Sorry I missed this! I intentionally made the set ups liberal. The point luck idea is fine by me as designer – but play how you wish to. The outcome will be a bit more random in any case (spotting will cause issues) and when I do the games the modules and scenarios are usually not straight jacketed for naval elements.

    So – the reason we do not put location codes in the SZs is to provide players with a bit more in the way of options than you might do if KB is in SZ AA and the USN are in SZ BB… not much to do but fly a search immediately to point AA or BB and see who gets a good die roll…

    We are finalising the content for the game – and will get to it in due course. The current Covid 19 mess, plus my recovery from a minor operation has delayed things however we can also say that we have been making good progress on Watchtower, and on an expansion to the system. I will do my best to update on all these topics later this week (we have just about gotten Barbarossa Pre-Order out the way so I can focus on other things…)

    The card is charged at the point of sale and international exchange rates are set by your bank. Please check with your card provider for more information on this – it can be expensive if you do not get this right as one of my retailers found out to their cost. Tim is spot on here!

    Thanks Craig… this is not the horror it could be (although we have a couple of new unit types and rules to fit them in).

    I think it will be a superb game – with a mix of air land and naval combat which is likely to be unparalleled in the series.
