TKC UPDATE
Well, where are we now with Watchtower?
Currently we have resolved all the various amphibious questions within the team – so time to tell you about that. We usually (and will continue to) provide the NSPs and LCs you need to launch amphibious assaults. In Watchtower this will continue, with ships and landing craft available in the correct quantities for time frames within the title.
To make them easier, planning will be eased for some types of units, and the use of NSP (CODE D) will enable more to be carried on fewer NSP capacity points… all good. The down side (well it has to be balanced) is that amphibious assets will be tied to a pool and released on a specified number of occasions per year (and may be per game).
Naval ratings are rattling forward. I have all bar very obscure IJN ships rated in Bob’s amazing spreadsheet – which is now the “bible” for ship ratings. The obscure stuff can be plugged into the sheet if needed for a game. Simples. The USN is now progressing rapidly, with carriers, battleships, sea plane tenders, and cruisers all rated. Escorts (destroyers et al) are started… which means I have done 3 or 4 ships.
Not bad! However we need to accelerate the overall ship rating process as there are LOTS of ships. So, Geoff (who is unable to talk due to laryngitis) has been volunteering (or been volunteered) to do WW1… he tells me its going well (well he croaked that to me today).
More on WW2 titles soon….
Cheers
John
